I just wanted to say (again): Unreal is legendary and it absolutely OWNS everything else!!!eleven
And I wanted to thank you guys very much for keeping this absolutely perfect old game still alive! I know it wasn't am easy thing to do, but you've made it!
There were good and bad times but you haven't given up!
Unreal lives for more than ten years now ! ! ! ! !

If Unreal would install on my new PC, it's alive. If not, I'll get an old PC to install it. Or "underclock" my PC.

My PC couldn't handle Vista anyway atm... (512 MB RAM, one of my RAM modules fried'n'died)

I usually don't play Unreal 1 multiplayer. Let me check.
Pinging servers.
Many servers found.
Seems to work.

quite a few people made a lot of tests with vista- and when explicit checking for it, it always seemed to work. So it looks like its no vista problem but a problem which happens more often (or only) when using vista. However, no one found a real explanation yet.

I never leave from Unreal community. I've played this game since it was released. I found multiplayer in 2002 (the year I got Internet).
I have seen that much people have left from Unreal servers, and feeling sorry about that. I only hope people start playing Unreal.

Yes, that's really a shame that people abandon excellent games like Unreal, for what? For some new piece of sh
it. Ok, not all new games are that and somebody who still cares about an old game along with the new one is not an assh0le but that's very rare. But, well, Unreal 1 found its sanctuary at OldUnreal.com, and that is how shall it be.
