Ok so I ran into the petition again! I remember when it started lol.

- but not even this one, the 226 petition was way bigger and made them really to make 226
Well, it was clear Epic wouldn't do it.
But I didnt want Unreal dead. I already started with OpenGL at this time, made my OMP's then and finally I got the sources to make this project (after thousands of mails). In the end it was Cliff Bleszinski who helped me to get the right contact.
I think I worked almost 2 years together with Shambler only and with the help from kerilk (helping/teaching me in advanced c++ things) until I made 227a public for bughunting here.
It was a long way...
To sad, the petition for 226 was signed by thousands of people. Now there are maybe ~ 20 - 100 players max / day left playing all day.
