What's wrong with the huge collection of Unreal Series music then?
It's uh, defeats the purpose of having new maps with completely new ideas, old music = played out.

But not all music fits maps... And therefore I highly doubt that some custom music would work. It takes a lot of time and listening to see which one fits it - and some music fit maps perfectly. Like, VCTF-CE-SubMagma from Chaos UT2 has music that fits it extremely well. KR-UT3-Coret would fit dark rainy forests perfectly. KR-Hide-n-Seek would fit something like a terran friendly base or a terran assault operation. But some music just don't fit in maps, like BR-Colossus music (don't remember which now).

227 exclusive map pack eh? i plan myself to someday port all of Citadel Station off system shock 1 to unreal, with 227 being used for MID music support, and MP3 for some music remixes, i already dumped the textures and sounds.
nice screenshots btw, what's that ghost skaarj in some of them? some "major character"?

It was not bad used in DM-CBP2-Kadath, by GUI, but yeah, this music sucks.

Hey I think this is a great idea. I am a coder/maper but I specialize really in UMX files. Any song u want I can make a umx for, now I can't synth anything new. But I remember oZ putting music to his Dm maps in his old server. He had a real talent for finding right song for each map. What would be wrong with importing music for this?
If you need anything coded I'm up for that. I'm pretty good with inventory and effects.

I would like a coder for a GUI idea I had like that of Unreal 2 (Object Usage). Add my MSN SirdanielUT(AT)qWest(DOT)net.
The ghost skaarj is simply a cloak effect I skinned up , Its currently called the "Observer".

Hmm I play guitar and synth and I can compose new music... I just made two songs this week!!!
EDIT: Lol I finished the third today, I'll be working on fourth and fifth probably to the end of the week, and that will conclude my *FIRST* MusicPack.

(I had some MIDI files on old Windows but the My Documents folder got locked and I will probably try to get the files but those are mostly short musix, not suitable for Unreal.

)

I like the skin.. but how about new player models??? I have a mod that would work well. I have UT players made for U1 with epics permission of course. I have some others too haven't looked at em in awhile but any UT model they have I can make work in U1.

I was hoping I could find a mesh creator for more mercenary models (Heavier/ Lighter varients). But there are very people who can make models that stick to the older engines.

simple?? you mean not animated?? I have alot of weapon meshes but they are all real weapons, aks and stuff. I used UT tac ops weps in my mod of inf. They rock, I just had to retexture em and tune them up a little to work good w/ no spikes or holes.
I can script weapons really good though.

No. With 'simple', I mean without lots of details, you know, little stuff on weapon's surface. But, for example, a simple grenade launcher is no problem to make.

Hmm I made a "Sprinkler", works excellent, a SuperMace thingy (can't compile to U1 mesh file, it has too many vertexes

), and I'm now working on an "Uzi". It even has the little lever-thingy on left side of it (like real auto-guns do

) and a "laser sight" part of mesh (like a long, thin 3D line

). It looks pretty nice. I even made a hole in it so you can look through it to aim.

I'll post a picture when I make a decent texture.

I suggest to remodel and retexture current U1 weapons you will use (and maybe new emitter based effects). For custom skins use S3TC (you can use mergedxt commandlet). You can also make terrain in 3Dmax - it's a lot easier then UED

Umm, the hand covers half of the screen. The best feel is when you see it only on special occasions anyway, much like in Unreal II.

Well I agree for typical unreal types of weps. For INF I put them up so u can kill crosshairs period and aim down your barrel.. I like the MP setup w/ aiming it has the little circle to put your opponents head in
The coolest part about these weps here is the bullets will richocet off walls, and the assuault rifles actually penetrate thin walls and keep goin w/ reduced damage. Also has flyby sounds when your opponents rounds get to close.

Unreal-styled with a little bit of realism (like you said - ricochets, penetrating thin walls, etc) will be a good choice IMHO.

Is this some kind of firestormv2? Turboman is already making Unreal themed pack and with enhanced weapons nowadays as well and he had already erlier weather effects in it too (it was even seen in the old screenshots) and other things. Why making exclusive 227 pack if the particles and weather effects were done before via third party scripting? Better keep it compatible with all versions.
