200 framerate limit runs good for me. You can check your fps in-game, open the console and enter "stat fps".

If you are getting anywhere near 200 FPS, you either have a very, very powerful machine or your running software rendering or you are not taking advantage of your machines capability.

I have twin SLI'ed Nvidia Go 7950 GTX's at 512MB each, 2 gig of RAM and an AMD Turion 64 ML-44 @ 2.4 GHz and I only get a maximum of 85 FPS using OpenGL and 1152 x 1024 pixels. That should give you an idea of what is going on as far as framerate problems are concerned. I average human can't even process more than 90 FPS...

I get 250-150 frames usually. OpenGL, 1680x1050. 256MB graphics card, 2GB RAM, 2.3GHz Intel Dual Core 2 Duo. No S3TC.
Yes, people can't see that much, but if you limit your frames to 40 you WILL see it.
Oh, noticed that "stat fps" works only starting from UT. To see Unreal frames, open Tools->Time Demo Statistics.
