Hidden/Beta Skin Packs

Sorry it took so long to reply, i again (second time in three weeks) had a virus in my computer and for the first time in my life i was unable to remove the thing.


Therefore i had to format my c drive to get rid of it. Than da mn Win2000 would not install the the hardrives properly, so i had to disconnect some of them, and did not pay attention to it good enough.

I did not notice that one of the groundcables from the drives made contact with "something" and short circuit, and caught fire...............


Thankfully the damage is not to bad, unbelievable enough......, i only lost that cable which is completelly fried.



Because of all this i am way behind in my work, and hope to have it uploaded to the site asap.

The skins on UnrealShare/UnrealI packages may appear on skin browser but wont be useable in game, since unreal dosent accept any skins that dont have mesh name on the package first (like Male2 => 'Male2'Skins, 'Nali1'Skins, 'SkTrooper'Skins...).
You need to export/import the skins into a new package, unless theres some special gametype that allows that.

The first post has been updated with some newer and higher quality screenshots of all the skins. Also feel free to give these skins a try. One day hopefully I'll be able to use my favourite skin (which is in the HSP) on servers without worries.

Just out of interest I just sent an email to two dozen or so server admins. Hopefully at least a few of them will be interested in these skins. Here is the text of the email:

You may or may not be aware of the existence of these skins. For those of you that don't please read the following paragraph.

When Unreal was released, for unknown reasons some skins were hidden away and made unusable by players. However, not too long ago I managed to extract these skins and make them usable by players. There are a variety of Female2, Male1, Male2 and even Nali skins that I managed to "unlock" in a sense.

These skins can only be used online if the server that a players joins also has these skins installed as well. That is where you come in.

If you need a place to direct players to download the skins then the download at FileFront below should suffice:

And speaking of downloads, there have been two releases of the Hidden Skins Pack to date. Both versions combined have had 53 downloads to date, with new downloads taking place everyday. There have been even more untracked downloads from other Unreal sites as well.

yeah i've seen some of those before in Unreall, in UED.

Out of the two dozen or so emails I've managed so far to get two replies, both positive in nature. Several bounced (they were probably either dead or fake emails). I've haven't got anything from the rest yet. Either they haven't replied yet or they weren't bothered and just deleted the email (shame on them).

Best thing for those who like the skins right now is to spread the word and inform everyone they can. I know there's more Unreal forums than the few that I tend to visit for sure.

Also if all things go well the hidden skins will be included in the upcoming 227 patch.
