Oldunreal became 8
On 2000-06-06 06:58:00 it was created by me.
Sry for announcing it late, but I' suffering a bad disease which prevented me from doing much in the last time. But I still think its worth to announce it, even if late
I didn't imagine that it will run that long. I hope you still enjoy it, thats the reason I made it for. We've come a long way.

Congrats! 8 years for the best Unreal 1 related website out there. 8 years of reliable access and 8 years of providing the most used download source for all kinds of Unreal downloads. Not even to mention the OldUnreal patches etc.

It's been a great 8 years, all things considered. Unreal 1 has been toe-tagged for awhile, but OldUnreal is still alive and kicking. All thanks to you, Smirftsch. And all of the other fine folks who've contributed to the legacy that is Unreal.

Indeed, Happy B-day. I remember the 1st time I found Old Unreal on the web. I actually saw the address on a server while playing Unreal itself back in 2000. It's truly amazing how far the site has progressed.

Here's to eight more years.  ;)

When I first saw this site, quite recently (like a year ago?), I was simply amazed at how a game that old still had support

OldUnreal has always been The meetingplace for all Unrealers, form start to ................

For me i always admired the treasure of information that can be found here, mainly on the forums. Which means that without all the people that joined us here made it possible as well. So i salute all present and past people that shared and offered their info, maps, mods, and what more with this site.



But of course the main salute goes to Smirftsch who made this site a tremendus popular site now and then  8-) After all he started all this and made a huge impact in the community by simply having this site in combination with all the OpenGL patches he made over the years
