It's been quite a while since oldunreal had an overhaul, but we are moving to another server which require some updates and changes. The biggest change is the migration of our old reliable YaBB forum to phpBB. This system expects you to login with your username and old password known from YaBB.
If you experience any problems there is also the usual "password forgotten" function. Don't forget to clear your browser cache!

Unreal Menu

Hi, I just reinstalled my Unreal Gold and decided to take it on a Coop run, BUT... I installed one of these new patches I found here for my Unreal Gold, and it replaced the menu. Instead of the windows-like menu, is replaced by a menu that looks like it jumped out of Quake.

How in the world do I revert this menu back to normal?

If you're talking about Unreal 227 patch, then:
-Edit Unreal.ini
-Find line "Console="
-Change to "Console=UMenu.UnrealConsole"
-Save and close.

And that should bring back UT/Windows style menu.

LOL, yeah do what dots told. You can change it in the advanced preferences also. Anyway, this is the "normal" Unreal menu. It has nothing to do with quake. Indeed the UT-Style you want is the new, not "original" menu.
Anyway, there will be a specific patch for UGold users soon which will have UMenu as default then...

For UGold users only? It have RTNP maps, UPak?

Yea, actually I think the UMenu console should be left as default. That "classic" one is hard to navigate, though I usually get to Advanced Preferences from there and then change the console from the nice drop-down list. By the way, there are 3, one's classic, one's UT styled, and what's the third one?

I fix the menu prob on my game but now it think i have normal Unreal intstead of Unreal Gold and im getting really sad about this :( :( :( :( :(

Yes, as already stated here in the forums and in the patch details, there is no specific support yet for Unreal RTNP - which affects of course Unreal Gold as well.
Once the 227patch is fully bugfree and we are pretty close to that already, there will be an UnrealGold version which will include the RTNP extension as well.

I think that's what you need to add.
I don't know.
It's like that in my Unreal.ini :p

227 overrides the console, right? If you had a fixed UPak.u then it would work, but usually this shouldn't work.
