It is not you.
TCP used to host a Domination server for some time, after that TCP Wolf created the game type. They probably took it down because lack of players or because they moved to UT2004.

Domination has suffered the same fate as (Real)CTF: lack of players. Also, Domination is a bit tricky to setup which may be too much work for some people.

It's Domination for U1? Or UT? I'd say UT Domination should have some people on still - it's UT's exclusive gametype after all...

Heh now that you say it, I had assumed the question was geared towards U1. Since the portation it is not UT exclusive anymore anyway :-) I do imagine the UT gametype may have similar problems though (with players, not setup-wise).

Well once I have properly configured my Unreal to host servers through my router i will be more than happy to host a UTF Domination server and a serpentine(the file from old unreal so no mismatches) server for U1.

That would certainly be nice to have, however, if you plan on setting up maps for DOM play that haven't been configured yet you should first check if the effort is worth it so first run the preconfigured maps to save you some hassle ;-)

Are there Unreal DOM maps available ? If so i would like to have them so i can add them to the downloads on the CW and UT site.

Yes and no...
You can play Domination on any DeathMatch map with UTF, but every map has to be configured to include the domination points. This is the "effort" which YOU, the Server Admin or dedicated player has to put in.
All configurations are written in an ini file, and I am willing to release any "well" done ini entries with future releases of UTF so they can be played out of the box. So far, only a few }TCP{ members and {hLk}Chris helped with making the configs I was able to provide out of the box.

The detailed article how to create a Domination map out of a DM map is here:

Hmm, how come aren't DOM points random from PathNodes?

That is a possibility, but it's not "as simple as that". Maps will have be very different in playability quality, because to make a map a good DOM map, some consideration is required as to where to put the DOM points.
Example 1: more than one DOM point too close together
Example 2: more than one DOM point (or all) in ONE area of the map only
Example 3: DOM points in secret areas (i.e. unreachable or difficult to reach only for players knowing the map in and out)
Example 4: sometimes DOM points close together are good (if there are WALLs in between)
So... you cannot use pure random and you cannot use pure distance calculation.
I might have a look how RealCTF does it, because with RealCTF most DM maps play okay-ish. However, with just 2 bases it is still a lot easier to make something up because you could (roughly) just go for the 2 most distant navigation points in a map.
Maybe if some more thought is put into it something okay-ish might come out, but it will never be as good as hand-made setups.
