Can I copy my User.ini file which I have under 227a to a fresh install of 227d and overwrite the default one? Or does the 227d install needs it's own User.ini file?

you should be able to copy paste any ini from any unreal version to 227. Some settings will be bad or on weird defaults, like server specific settings. but for a client, for the most part, will be fine.

Actually, 227 installer should ask politely if I want to overwrite the User.ini. It really annoys me when all my settings disappear.

Or 227 installer should *modify* User.ini instead of replacing it.

More feature requests for the new installer :) So 227 now mainly needs UGold support and that new installer.

the installer is indeed very limited and I have really no time atm to write a new one. I prefer to work on 227 instead...so this will have to wait.

Yeap, take your time, but when you're done you could make a new one.
