It's been quite a while since oldunreal had an overhaul, but we are moving to another server which require some updates and changes. The biggest change is the migration of our old reliable YaBB forum to phpBB. This system expects you to login with your username and old password known from YaBB.
If you experience any problems there is also the usual "password forgotten" function. Don't forget to clear your browser cache!

NEW Rifle (mod) for Snipers !!

Two years ago I requested a scripter to make me a Rifle with a little feature that'd make it harder to target the peep using it from the shadows (no, I'm not talking about the Acoustic Dampener) ... well, last night on my TS I mentioned this to Jackrabbit, and he made me the "Sniper Rifle" I always wanted. I haven't put it on my site yet, but here it is for now. Maybe it'll also end up on a few other sights.

It can be summoned or put into a map as a pickup item, etc. I works great ... I really like it. Time to replace the Rifle with the Sniper Rifle in a couple maps - and make "sniper" versions of them. Hee Hee !!

I still believe that the Widowmaker is the excellent sniper. Mostly because of it's supreme zoom ability. And also because of it's balance - it's fast and hits hard, but you need to reload (so you have to track your clip). And XMP edition also reveals the location of the sniper to make it more fair - no-one likes spawnraping. Now as I have almost finished my edition of XMPWeapons for UT2004, I included a mutator MutUseWMaker (Widow Makers), in addition to the original UT2004's MutUseSniper (Sniper Rifles) and MutUseLightning (Lightning Guns). It's extremely fun to play Face with Widowmakers!
