From what I've gathered from the 227 board, Zora/Winged/whoever else worked on npt won't give smirf the source to npt so he could build a 227 version, and I think smirf CAN'T give the 227 source to them so they could make a 227 version (not sure about just giving out the headers though, or something like that). 227 supports the most essential npt functions, like banning and download managing (IIRC), so it isn't a huge problem that npt isnt supported.

Its a huge problem for gametypes that rely on npt like DCoop's NPT handler (use 227 handler for 227), JCoopZ stuff, MCoop, JCoop5...

I could play all the coops normally with 227 (clean install). Absolutely no problems, however I didn't check all the servers. Still it works pretty good.

It's quite possible that Nephthys will be made to work with 227; when the current Nephthys version and the next patch are both out of beta, I'll try to sort something out.
