Na Pali mouse view always goes up ?

Hi ,just revisited playing Unreal SP for the first time since its release and really enjoyed it especially with the 227b patch.
Though I would go on to play Mission pack1 Na Pali.I have installed the Open GL patch so the resolution is good now, textures are not as good as the 227b patched Unreal and I have brightness issues with mission pack 1 (too dark) that were not there in Unreal 227b.
Mostly what I am having trouble with is it is like my gun is drawn like a magnet to looking at the ceiling and I have to constantly correct with the mouse to keep it level.
Does anyone have an answer to any of these issues particularly the last one?

Check if you have Mouselook enabled and Auto Slope disabled.

Thanks for the feed back GreatEmerald.
I stumbled on a solution
By using the "keyboard look" key"pagedown" just once the constant looking up stopped and the "mouse look" worked fine afterwards.
Go figure.
Still having problems with brightness in the mission pack.
The brightness slider has no effect and its a bit on the dirk side.
Tried a newer open GL driver in the system folder and the slider worked but max brightness was no different.

I have that same problem aswell. Only solution for me is to restart Unreal until the brightness is good working again.
I also have the same issue on UT'99 so I don't think its directly 227b releated.

If OpenGL is too dark, you can use their Gamma settings in the Advanced Options any time.

I cannot find any gamma setting in advanced options.
There might be in UT but not in Unreal mission pack 1(MP1)
The MP1 config says its

[FirstRun]
FirstRun=224

I can't find any later patches for MP1 than 224 not sure it even had one.
Something about the 227b patch for Unreal makes the whole OpenGL brightness issue go away but because MP1 is a stand alone install I can't use it.
