UPAK!!!

UPak has only 2 native classes - PathNodeIterator and PawnPathNodeIterator. If you cant get UPak C++ source you should make small temporary solution for UPak with anti-nativing those classes (removing native from their flags, making native functions just dummies, or rewrite them in UScript) so entire UPak will be compatible with 227 and will not get killed by just 2 pretty unused native classes!!! (I will try to do that on my own machine, will see will that work :P)

Well i really think that such UPak package shouldnt be hosted on 227 servers and be used only for Client-Side and UGold menu support because some pawns will go mad [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]

unfortunately I'm not allowed to do that. I'm having already a version without native bindings which works fine, but due license I will have to make a version that is native bound again and which will be for UGold only.
This topic was already discussed several times, but unfortunately I was not able to convince Epic to allow me putting UPak into 227 as general addition.

Then at least make servers not to kick players (me) for my client-side upak addition because i [glow=yellow,2,300]cant live without upak menus and upak console[/glow]

Yeah but it comes with a screwed version of it...Epic released it by changing the Engine.u and something else critcal around so that everyone with the Anthology version got mismatches when joining other servers...fortunatley a fix was made...as usual :P

I thank Epic for the great unreal series, but wtf is wrong with epic. They also like to make games that mismatch the servers. and wtf is with this bull**** tournament series. Ok the first one was good, second one sucked, 3rd one is ok, and the 4th one is a total repeat with just minor additions. Come on epic! Make Unreal 3!!! Make Unreal what it used to be, a great long, vast singleplayer campaign with multiplayer modes and coop. I've had enough of this tournament series. It's gone too far and there are far too many. It has got to stop epic. Continue where Unreal left off, no not RTNP, and make a sequel with just as many features as Unreal, with more. Maybe Unreal 3 will use Unreal Engine 4? Let's all hope so.

They made Unreal II but no coop. They made XMP but no coop. They made Unreal Tournaments but no coop and singleplayer. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU, GUYS?! (Epic)

They do what is most profitable. And all other ideas go to the bin. Making something like U1 again is risky as U2 is not too liked (even though it really rocks, but needs botmatch). It doesn't matter if they have coop or not as my connection is too poor to play anything online :-/ Tournaments are OK, but they could have single player missions (hey, everyone wants to know more about Liandri!). U2 rocks, if only they made U2+UT2004, it would have PWNed! Even without coop, someone would have created a mod for that.

UPak is really cool too. Especially the CAR. Shooting from 2 barrels at once FTW!

U2 not too liked because (in my opinion):
1. NO MULTIPLAYER
2. Only singleplayer, no good community (caused by 1)
3. many other reasons (Caused by 1)

Unreal 2 sucked because Legend made it. If Epic made it most likely would have been better and more connected to the original storyline.

Well had they been serious about the TOURNAMENT series they would have added everything needed to deal with everything multiplayer and online related - obviously the entire Tournament series is online-targetted whereas Unreal 1+2 are not. But still Epic made a piss poor job on ALL UT games, because none contains anti-cheat or version management out of the box. That's not even a good attempt at making a valuable online game.

They made coop for Xbox version of Unreal2. And some team was making coop also, but it was never finished and many projects for U2 died because very little interest and other things.

All of those were community made. Wolf is saying that these features should have been included with the release of the game.

That was created by Wormbo, not Epic, and no, on my installation CDs of ut2k4 there is no such thing as AntiTCC.

On infiltration forums there is one. But it is not under beyondunreal anymore, that section, they decided to create own forum.

i have a "bs" version of upak that works under 225f, i think i found it here in OldUnreal, and it crashes way to often YET i can still join MewTwo's server when he's running converted ugold maps "that still ask for upak..".

i wonder if dots could give me the converted upak he has, UNLESS he crafted it towards 227...

I have that version, but infiltrators disabled some console codes so I can't quickly see if the maps work... :S

If you got that UPak from this file

then that's a (pre-??) 224 UPak which works PERFECTLY for DM maps (and is netcompatible) but will definitely CRASH in coop.
