Unreal Engine Games run too fast -> Try this
Hi all,
a little tip for those whose Unreal Version runs too fast:
- Download BurnMax (for example from http://www.benchmarkhq.ru/english.html?/be_cpu.html)
- start it with "Priority=Idle" and "Running Time=Infinite"
- start Unreal
It also works with other Unreal Engine-Games like Undying and Wheel of Time.
Looks like Unreal detects the CPU-Speed at Start and when loading a new Level, so when you use programs like AMD`s Cool&Quiet, the game runs too fast because the CPU-Frequency is changing under Load.
Worked for me, so I hope this will help ;)

Usually setting Vsync enabled fixes that as well.

The runspeed problems with Unreal has multiple possible causes and multiple solutions. See my help page for more details:

The only thing I had to do was disable cool & quiet. I'm running unreal on a dual core amd 180 opteron, 3 gigs of ram, nvidea 8800 gt. Only trouble I have is when switching to advanced menu and then back to main. That is an nvidea issue though.

Re: Unreal Engine Games run too fast -> Try this
I have a laptop, it had issues with Q&Q, set to Home/Office and it works better. Just Unreal is technically too fast, at least compared to other FPShooters at 100% speed. Always have to set to 75%...

I found that the easiest way to do, so you don`t have to disable your Energy Saving Features.
The Program forces the CPU to run at full Sped when idle.
Enabling VSync didn`t help me with that Issue, that`s why I searched and found this fine little Tool.
I think you can also use any other Program that puts your Processor under Load
