I hope NOTHING like this happens in 227, this is ridiculous, wtf did Zora do? That's not even the FULL log.. It goes on recursing itself saying "...Uobject" until my log grew as large as 16 GB.


Does Zora even know wth this is about, or anyone else here on OldUnreal? This even happens in Pcube, aka MewTwo's server.

It just now happened to MewTwo's server when my friend decided to change to Mario'sWorld[225f] this is not a xCoop releated issue, it even happens in regular UnrealShare.CoopGame, and I even ran across this in Jcoop5, Jcoop4 and JcoopZ.

This even randomly happens in standard maps with standard models. Wtf is this BS.

Are you using the latest (official) release of NPT? Make sure Nephthys is correctly installed. If unsure, you may want to do a clean install.

If it continues happening, be sure to contact Zora. She is the only one who can fix the bugs.

Harddrives don't crash by just writing a large (log) file to it. It may have crashed because it already had issues which became visible when writing to the sectors. You may want to use a full disk diagnostic to detect any hidden problems with the drive. (I recommend [url=http://www.grc.com/sr/spinrite.htm]SpinRite[/url], or else the diagnostic software of your drive manufacturer)

I fully agree with hyper here, it would really require a very bad handling of writing the logs to the hdd to even have a chance to damage it (which is very very unlikely even if done by purpose), and the logging uses Unreal's usual filehandling system, nothing special.
Anyway Nephthys is a very advanced tool, and its impressive what they did there, its very complex, so bugs are possible (as in every complex development), but then again such bugs can have various reasons, so not even sure if this problem is caused by Nephthys, or maybe only "reported through" it.

V1.3 is the latest, right?

Because if that's so then YES I am using the latest version; I have a clean install and I tested my mods without the presences of Nephthys, and what I came across is spawning without anything in view, basically absolutely nothing was replicated towards me, as if I timed out. Reconnecting to my own server like 6 times it finally managed to do anything. Can 227 handle player spawning a little bit better?

How to reproduce this:

Make sure there is another pawn in the level currently with bIsPlayer set to true, I'm not sure if it can be subclassing Bots.

Make a test playerpawn class, or make a VERY nifty actor\mutator to destroy the player right after it spawns (For the playerpawn class, call Destroy(); in PostBeginPlay)

Connect to your server, the moment you spawn (either by using a custom playerclass that destroys itself in PostBeginPlay, or through a nifty mutator\actor that destroys the player the moment it's spawned) Nephthys will log "Can't find any player" then it should log some random actor that has bIsPlayer set to true, then it will proceed to recurse on "... UObject".

This is what caused it for me, I wouldn't know why, but that's how I just now reproduced the bug.
