Oh hell yea! Installed it, can't wait to use it.
Watchout Zeke, there is a very odd dispersion pistol decal, and Dellkat is a fan of it! And hey Decals work in 227! Imagine the possibilities.

Speaking of "good ol lag" has Smirftsch ever investigated the so called "Simlatency" and "SimPacketloss" settings defined in Default.INI for TCPIPConncetion?

I wonder if there is a way to generate clientside lag and packetloss. I know ProQuake allows you to, but that's Quake 1. Would be hilarious to use.

I'd step forth and volunteer to be a community file host. UnrealDestination has remained just an unused and buggy map search engine and a home for my private projects for near 5 years now. I'd love to revamp it and offer file hosting. Server is on OC192 in Chicago and has plenty of space left. I've also been working on resurrecting the Yellow Submarine Server (http://riot-girl.net)
Nice! I've got some great memories of that server. Do you still have the old forum as well? I used to be regged there.
Unfortunately I don't :-(. I'll put up another Snitz forum as soon as I work out the game server hosting aspect.

There are ALOT of servers that died over the years, TechNostalgia was one of them to, right?

And wow, YS runs in Ut2k4? I never noticed..

Yes, after all the wait it's here.
So which servers work exactly ? Who does and doesn't activate cheat protection ?
I play mostly INF and SP servers. Can I upgrade to 227 right away or would it be a good idea to make a parallel install ?

Since its a beta 227a it might be a smart idea to make a paralel installation. In that way you can always choose what you can play. Of course you should try to play with 227a so you can make the needed bugreports and get familiar with 227.

does the 227 patch work with joysticks? I have a report from a clan member that their joystick does not work with 227 but does work with their 226f version.. Ill try to get more details as far as specific hardware.

I really never had any intention to play unreal with the absurd idea of using a joystick, so, didn't touch this code, expected it to work, but I don't have a joystick, so can't test...

Well Pcube had it to, but he changed back to 225f, but i cant because i couldnt let it to put a Skeletal mesh in my new mod. anyways, its at his XCoop gametype, the 'Login' command doesn't work anymore when you have 227 running.

I used to own a joystick from my old days in Mechwarrior 2, but it's at my home right now and it's a long trip back from where I'm at.


I'd like to see if modern gamepads will work in Unreal. But I don't have one either, yet.

MECHWARRIOR 2 FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, my joystick used to always be on with my old comp that i used to run Unreal with...i even used some of the buttons on the Joystick for binded keys in Unreal lol...it was funny....then my friend would grab the Joystick and start waving it around so i'd go all over the place in the game...lol

overall...im pretty sure that this was Unreal 1 and not UT99 but i cant be sure (i played UT99 before Unreal 1) I'd be happy to test for you but my Joy is no longer compatible with my new comp...doesn't take anything but USB and its the old kinda plug in

Good job Smirf and everyone else that worked on this project, U1 community will expand now! Full patch should be added to BeyondUnreal hmm?

You know, I even want to install my old UnrealGold again and give the RtNP another try, enjoyed the first time but there were so many ways of completing levels :)
EDIT: Uh right, RtNP not supported yet :( Lost a customer lol, until the beta 2 or full.

Would it add anything if it was possible to apply it to UT99? At least walking sounds for textures, that would be so sweet!
