Hello everybody.
Just thinking about playing again the REAL thing.
Only problem is, having it running smooth on a Core2Duo with XP can waste a lot of time (or even take forever)....
I'm almost about to reassemble that old PIII 1000, pluggin in the never-disposed Voodoo5, and set up a Win98SE installation....

Great to hear that. Unreal always needs new players/returning players to fill in servers.

WB! There is some info somewhere here on duo cores but for some reason the search feature isn't working for me. It is possible to use your updated system though. If memory serves me correctly you need to set some ini settings and a few OS settings. Try a search here. I tried but like I said the search feature isn't working for me atm. However unreal does love voodoo's. 8-)

If patch 227 comes out, i wonder if such a card is able to run the S3TC textures under D3D, would be cool if it could
I have almost completed the S3TC packages for lower end videocards, which would be perfect for a Voodoo to test it.

running u1 on dual core w/xp pro.
download the dual core fix from Hypercoop website:

ull need winrar to uncompress the file
http://www.rarlab.com/rar/wrar371.exe
run the dualcore fix setting the unreal.exe to run on one core only
when u run u1 make sure to have vertical sync on for ur video card (most other games ud want that off).
Had trouble myself till I did the above, runs fine now.
