Help about amount of faces

Post by GcSkaarj »

I'm using 3dsmax 9 to create some brushes, but the main problem is that when I import them to UE2, they have the double amount of faces than the same model if were created in UE2.
For example a cube in UE2 have 6 faces, a imported cube from 3dsmax9 have 12.... There is a way for bring the 3dsmax model in UE2 but with the half amount of faces. (I use Optimize an Multires modifiers en 3dsmax, but that can't solve the problem).

This is the problem: left UE2, right 3dsmax 9 imported brush:

I don't know if this is right, but some guy told me something about merge the textures, if this is true, how can i do that?

Right Click => Polygon => Merge => Rebuild geometry.
You must construct additional pylons.

It's generally not a bad idea to have all brushes tesselated. :P
