I am however setting up more important stuff at the moment.

Today i have been buzy to batch DecayedS and Mine to DDS, because i already made a (small) bunch of textures for those packages in the past.

Next to that i will see if i can turn Turboman's planet textures into a SpaceFX package :) But that package does conain complicated settings like Wet and Fire textures, so it will be a interesting test.

You guys probably know what map uses those textures, which one is it ?

Here is an update on the JWSky package.

Its still a no go for the cities on top, but this update offers a hugh improovment on the rocks themselves :)

Small suggestion for this texture:

It might be nice to add a colour change to the distant sky isles like the original one has. It increases the suggestion of distance.

The Nebula looks weird with black spots in it. If this poblem is known already, you can safely ignore this reply.

Eeeuh, no that was new to me lol

Looks kinda cool though :)

I already fixed your request and redid the nebula.

I looked at the DDS file and i can only asume Photoshop messed up during the DXT 1 compression of the file.

Download the package again, as far as i can see its fixed now, for the cities in the distance i choose a more darkisch coloration.

Hmz, the sky isles actually look worse now to me, especially when you zoom in. They have lost the crisp detail. It seems like a lower res texture is pasted over them.

And the nebula's black holes are fixed, but now they have straight and visible edges again. I'm sorry to say this, but in my opinion this version is inferior to the previous one.

Well for the nebula you have to remember that that texture needs a redone version to begin with.

All the textures for the cities are also beta till all is added. But as far as the rockface itself it should be a big improovement ..............

But i think i do understand what you mean, the bumpmapping did merge the different parts somewhat, in the final versions i need to split them up anyway before bumpmapping, so i could do that for all the different parts inthere. (lotta work though, count some extra 6 hours per texture)

The crispy first version was to crispy to begin with, its basically like a painting, a good painting is obvious what it contains, but on deeper level it should aslo contain not obvious stuff, which means anyone can use there own feelings and imagination to try see something in it on personal level.

The crispy one was just: BANG thats it, here is it, you can see any lack of detail. Probably if you would have only seen the final version it would not have been a problem for you. and indeed, this remark is the danger of releasing beta textures. so it can happen that people will like the previous version ..............

As was said before in general, all packages released now, can contain either final textures or beta textures.

Probably the real bugreports starts when a package is released "as final version".

But i will take remarks in concidderation for the final releases, ill keep this in mind.
