It's been quite a while since oldunreal had an overhaul, but we are moving to another server which require some updates and changes. The biggest change is the migration of our old reliable YaBB forum to phpBB. This system expects you to login with your username and old password known from YaBB.
If you experience any problems there is also the usual "password forgotten" function. Don't forget to clear your browser cache!

Synopsis: A member of one of the SG teams finds himself stranded deep in enemy territory. Traversing an underground city occupied by hostile forces, the soldier comes across a majestic castle looming in the distance. Little does he know that this is only the beginning of a long journey home.

Further Information:
This is an upcoming community remaster of an unfinished mammoth map pack by the Japanese visionary, ViViDy. His maps have achieved quite some notoriety on coop servers due to amazing architecture and some of the most unique ideas in Unreal mapping history. It suffered from some flaws, as can be seen in the original map pack linked above - primarily lack of any weapon or item placement, forcing players to rely on cheats or specific coop server setups. Also, the maps are very obviously beta - some maps contain empty rooms or have no objective besides door-to-door elimination of the opposition. The remaster aims to rectify all those issues, making an already close-to-perfection product indeed perfect.

The remaster project began in November 2023 when the final seven maps of the set were recovered from the author. They were most likely last worked in 2015, just as some of the other maps of the set, but never shared outside the HerdCoop servers until November 2023. To further put things into perspective, the oldest iterations of the maps came from 2008-2009, which would mean the pack was being worked on from 2008 to 2015, so across seven years. Despite many maps attributed to Team HerdCoop, as I was explained, reportedly ViViDy made the brunt of the work all by himself, with the Team HC being mostly testers.

What is most astonishing is the number of concepts and loose adaptations of Japanese works of art and popculture. We have Sengoku Period maps doubtlessly inspired by Onimusha and Yotoden, we have an entire set inspired by Vampire Hunter D, there's a map heavily influenced by one of the Gamera movies, and that's just to name a few. The pack is huge and varied and you never know just what might wait around the next corner.

The architecture is pretty wild. I might take the time to play this, although I probably won't get any of the references.
You must construct additional pylons.
