It's been quite a while since oldunreal had an overhaul, but we are moving to another server which require some updates and changes. The biggest change is the migration of our old reliable YaBB forum to phpBB. This system expects you to login with your username and old password known from YaBB.
If you experience any problems there is also the usual "password forgotten" function. Don't forget to clear your browser cache!

Help — oldUT2k4 Mac Install
“macOS Game Assets Installers: This video shows you how to use these installers” … it appears this video — still linked from GitHub — is outdated, as the list of Assets shown does not have “OldUnreal-UT2004Installer-macOS.zip” available on the installer pages for Macintosh — it’s just not there on either the “full game installers/releases” or the “UT2004Patches/releases” pages. perhaps someone involved with the wonderful notion of helping to bring UT2k4 back to life could update the website along with the instruction video?

i wound up finding an old Windows laptop, installed UT2k4, launched the game, but i found no "Unreal Tournament 2004" folder in "C:\Program Files (x86)". any advice as to how to extract those data files/folders would be most helpful, thanks! 8-)

To install on Mac, just go to this page:

Then click on "Assets" and download this file:
OldUnreal-UnrealInstaller-macOS.zip
Unpack and run it, then the game ISO file will be downloaded and automatically extracted into your users Application Support directory in the subfolder UT2004.
After that just start the launcher you installed via OldUnreal-UT2004Patch3374-macOS.dmg.

thank you hitchhiker for your comment! i followed your instructions. upon unzipping the "OldUnreal-UnrealInstaller-macOS.zip" file, unzipping & launching, it did appear as though it was working — as in, it appeared to be downloading data (unlike the installer there i had tried doing likewise for: "OldUnreal-UT2004Installer-macOS.zip").
however, after then process was completed, i searched in both my User Library & System Library directories — there are no UT files in Application Support.
any further ideas are greatly appreciated. i'm currently attempting to re-install OS X.6 on an old iMac that had to use to run that (as my buddy played UT2k4 on it)... but Apple has apparently made this very difficult. but i'm still trying... just want to FRAG again! 8-)
