Hi there,
I used Lutris to install UT99 in my Linux Mint Debian Edition 6. Runs very well out of the box.
Now every 30 seconds the ingame graphics "freeze" for 0,5 seconds, independent of what is happening on the map and no matter if online or offline.
Could this be something like a "framerate sync" problem, meaning graphics running faster than some ingame clock and syncing every 30 seconds? Just an idea, I have no idea. ;-)
Would be greatful for any help! Thanks!

Re: OpenGL Graphics freeze every 30 seconds
If you installed the original (not patch 469) one, you probably also use SDL1.2. I have a similar problem with another game (Eufloria HD), it just freezes for some time and then continues. The reason why I mention this is, that I already had a strong suspicion that this is a SDL1.2 issue. That suspicion becomes even stronger with your issue. I've never managed to pinpoint the exact location or even fix that problem.
So I cannot give you a solution, but you're not alone with this issue. So patch 469 might solve your problem?

Thanks for your reply!
Actually I'm using the latest 469.
But I was able to get closer to the problem: it only happens if I use my external Display via USB-C/HDMI/DP. The game runs without freezes if I play it on the integrated notebook-display, while the notebook is detached from the external displays.
