It's been quite a while since oldunreal had an overhaul, but we are moving to another server which require some updates and changes. The biggest change is the migration of our old reliable YaBB forum to phpBB. This system expects you to login with your username and old password known from YaBB.
If you experience any problems there is also the usual "password forgotten" function. Don't forget to clear your browser cache!

Unreal v227j & UT99 v469c: Black lines between polygons

Greetings,

I have a peculiar issue with Unreal v227j and UT99 v469c graphics on Linux. I am not sure if I am using the correct terminology as I am not well versed with graphics APIs. Both Unreal v227j and UT99 v469c shows black lines between polygons in case of lights and explosions. This doesn't happen with Unreal v227i but it keeps happening with Unreal v227j and UT99 v469c. It looks like I need to disable one of the graphics options via .ini edit but no idea which. I am using OpenGL renderer as XOpenGL seems to be causing artifacting. I could stay with Unreal v227i; but it crashes with Steele Dawn v2.0 in later levels. Any help is appreciated, thank you!

Game modes:

Unreal v227j x86: Unreal and Steele Dawn
UT99 v469c x64: Steele Dawn (OldSkool Amp'd 2.20)

System:

Distro: Mint 21 x64
Kernel: Linux 6.2.0
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 4800H
GPU: AMD Radeon RX Vega 6 (integrated)
Mesa: 22.0.5

It turned up to be a Mesa bug that was fixed in later versions.
