It's been quite a while since oldunreal had an overhaul, but we are moving to another server which require some updates and changes. The biggest change is the migration of our old reliable YaBB forum to phpBB. This system expects you to login with your username and old password known from YaBB.
If you experience any problems there is also the usual "password forgotten" function. Don't forget to clear your browser cache!

[HP1] Known Issues/Suggestions

I'm not saying that I'm making a HP1 patch, but I think it would be worth to compile a list of known issues and suggestions.

Issues:
- Menu assumes 4:3 resolutions (for widescreen this results in truncation, otherwise a black bar at the bottom appears in most UI situations).
- Tons of accessed none's.

Suggestions:
- Making new game intro skipable.
- Always enable console.
- Add dynamic list of resolutions like it is typically done in other UE1 games.
- Strafing support throughout the entire game.
- Multiplayer.

On a quick test it looks like it just get a black bar at the bottom instead of truncation.

Clarified the formulation of the issue.

Strafing and fix mouse mod, it can be downloaded here and widescren mod fix for using with this mod (unpack after unpacking both mods).

I can't play in English

These are Russian language files. If you move these files to the English version of the game, the foreign language words will not be visible.
files in which Russian text is saved in the encoding 1200 (UTF 16- LE)

Yeah, my mistake. I read the thread incorrectly yesterday. It's always best to upload to Archive.org for files and not file hosting sites (which disappear or go offline constantly.) At first, I thought these were files that fixed the problem. Regardless, to make things indefinitely accessible, Internet Archive is the last bastion of hope for data that is obscure, abandoned, or necessary as an adjunct to other data / software to enable playback in the future / for future users.
