It's been quite a while since oldunreal had an overhaul, but we are moving to another server which require some updates and changes. The biggest change is the migration of our old reliable YaBB forum to phpBB. This system expects you to login with your username and old password known from YaBB.
If you experience any problems there is also the usual "password forgotten" function. Don't forget to clear your browser cache!

Major boards:

Latest Patch:
www.oldunreal.com/DeusEx/patch/DeusExMPPatch1112fm.exe
Description:
Dues Ex 1112 Patch

Fixes:
Blocked some cheats related to overriding the local console or root window.
Doors opened by buttons in multiplayer work properly now.
Opening a door in multiplayer automatically unlocks it, whether opened by button or by lockpicking.
Fixed some potential problems with locked double doors in multiplayer.
Disabling screenflashes no longer has an effect on multiplayer. Multiplayer always has screenflashes on.
The server information window in the join game screen now indicates whether or not a server is password protected.
Mousewheel support for remote clients has been fixed to be consistent with mousewheel use for the singleplayer game.
If a server is listed as full on the join game screen, you cannot join it. If you refresh the list and the server is no longer listed as full, you can then join.
The viewplayer command no longer works in multiplayer games. Mod makers can change this by overriding the CanSpectate function.
Looting corpses while carrying no weapons no longer gives you increased ammo counts.
The flamethrower was generating log warning messages under certain circumstances. Those have been fixed.
Dropping a weapon and then picking it up caused its ammo count to get messed up, causing problems when you tried to restock it with an ammo crate. This has been fixed.
LAMs become disabled when the person who placed them leaves the game.
You can no longer lean on other players to kill them.
Leaning occasionally caused people to rotate wierdly. This has been fixed.
Under certain circumstances, the vision augmentation could be broken until you died and respawned. This has been fixed.

Patch for Ceative Cards:
www.oldunreal.com/DeusEx/patch/deusexpatch_creative.exe
Description:
This patch fixes "Mismatch" errors when trying to connect to servers using the Deus Ex Game of the Year edition that came bundled with the Sounds Blaster Audigy sound card.

If you received Deus Ex Game of the Year with a Sound Blaster Audigy sound card and are getting errors when attempting to connect to a multiplayer server, please download and install this patch.
This patch will update the version of Deus Ex GOTY that came with your Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy sound card to the final version of the game, which should correct any mismatch errors when connecting to servers running v1.112fm of Deus Ex
SDK:
http://www.oldunreal.com/DeusEx/DeusExSDK1112f.exe
Note: Libraries will not get installed, you need to extract them yourself out of this selfextracting zip file. Also Header for APlayerPawn lack LastinHand variable and DConCamera plenty of them.

Deus Ex Maps Patch:
http://www.dxm.be/navigator.php5?lang=en&content=202
Presentation:
Due to an error of archiving from Eidos/IonStorm, all Deus Ex games sold in 1.112 version (Game of the Year, Collector, etc.) contain obsolete maps’ versions! More precisely, the maps present in the 1.110 version date back to June 2000 while those presented in the 1.112 version date back to May 2000. By restoring the maps back to June 2000, you will be able to correct a series of bugs and important annoyances.

Despite it's (wrong) naming convention you need all 3 files.
Description:

Project HDTP is a High Definition Texture Package for the original Deus Ex game. The original in-game textures were of a very low resolution, some textures even being as low as 32x32. However, it was discovered that it is possible to increase the resolution of those textures to a maximum of 256. This has been tested in-game and we have witnessed the start of a massive graphical overhaul. Features: 1. All new remodelled and retextured Objects. 2. Objects will sport a high resolution of 256. 3. Brand new character models and matching high resolution skins. 4. Character models are more individual. For example each guard/trooper type will now have its own model instead of using the generic one. 5. Character models now have their own fingers (removing the 'mittens' effect). 6. Models that require animation will be full animated from scratch to compliment the higher quality feel. 7. Characters look darker and more moody to enhance the game play experience. 8. Vehicle models and weapons...

Of note is the HDTP which aimes at remodeling and retexturing most meshes and characters from the game to improve the experience. It's worth taking a look; the character models are fantastic. However, I have not tried the latest versions and only used an old one where only a couple of objects were (very well) remade. I don't know what percentage of the game is currently improved.

Another notable mod for Deus Ex is New Vision that replaced almost all world textures in the game with newer more hi-res ones.

Then of course our own mod, Deus Ex: Revision. We are also hosting two tutorials (going to put up more stuff later).

OTP is currently down, hopefully they will get it back up. Another popular DX forum is DXAlpha.

No need to host it, just keep a link pointing to it. You don't have to waste space and bandwidth for somethinf that's hosted on moddb.

I'm just suggesting. It's your decision to use more than a Go to store it.

Otherwise, here is the main mod for DX: The Nameless Mod, which is quite recent in fact, and reportedly extremely good. Never tried it myself though.

You can backup large or unstable downloads with a magnet link.
A magnet link can contain the URLs and URIs from many networks and sources.
I always include a regular HTTP or FTP link in mine if I can find any.
You can add as many mirrors as you like to 1 single click.

See this test post for an example

The Shifter mod and derivatives are worthwhile mentions here incase nobody knows about them already.

The original Shifter in particular fixes alot of missing\broken features that the final patch never fixed, like missing conversations, the broken music during NYC Mission 8, etc. As well as adding a few "unique" versions of common weapons.

I've also made very minor mods for Deus Ex but I've quickly given up working on that because the UScript code base is a massive hack job and hard to work with.

A small note for native coding in DeusEx:
Header for APlayerPawn lacks LastinHand and DConCamera lacks plenty of variables.

I installed Deus Ex through Steam, then I installed New Vision and HDTP. Now, the game crashes whenever I launch it; outright bricked.

I had to do a fresh install. I am not using Kentie's launcher again.
