Crystal Castles
Description:
The Crystal Castles Mod is the first new extensive mod to be created for Unreal I in a Nali's age. Play is a bit different from what you may be used to. Points are what matters - not the total number of kills. Points are awarded for kills but you may find it easier to pick up the high scores by collecting the gems and gold found throughout the levels.
Those who used to play the old 2-D arcade games where you run around and pick up gems (dots, etc) will be familiar with the concept. The change is we have moved from a static 2-D world into the third dimension.
Our Mod name "Crystal Castles" pays a bit of homage to the original Crystal Castles arcade game - it was actually the first 3D venture along this direction. Needless to say things have changed a bit since it came out. We bring you a little closer to the action by placing you in a first person viewpoint.
Other changes are that you are a little better armed than that poor old Bentley Bear being chased by trees and other rotten baddies. You also can pick up a bunch of special items to help you win the day. But don't get complacent, more monsters are around to pound you into mush and also other players will be competing with you for that top score!!

Spinner Monster Pack
Description:
For lovers of spiders :)
Spider model extracted from Return to Na Pali so it can be used for RTNP2U map pack. Compatiable with Unreal 1 and UT 99.
Along with fixes to the original spinner are 2 modded spiders, the maiden and shadow.
The maiden is a large tough spider which may throw some of its eggs at you as an alternative projectile.
The shadow is a nasty smallish spider, well it just bites, but may be hard to see in dark places.

MonsterMash (later versions included in UTF, section Server and Security)
Description:
Once active, MonsterMash will continually spawn in monsters of your choice in
random locations in the map. They are very aggressive and eager to kill any
player (or bot) wandering around. This is meant for players to cooperate on
killing the monsters instead of shooting each other, but you have to aim very
well not to do too much accidental damage to your comrades.
MonsterMash theoretically supports ANY game mode, so in theory you might start
some Monsterfun in combination with any other mod, however, regarding
stability and balance you should play MonsterMash with its native game mode!
All of you who do not like the "normal" Unreal, but play mods such as
"Infiltration" or "Serpentine" should jump on to Section V right now to see
how your mod is supported by MonsterMash. In brief, MonsterMash is a game-mode
independant modification which theoretically allows you to play it in ANY game
mode together with ANY other modification in existance. Some other mods are
recognized by MonsterMash and directly supported. Not directly supported mods
can still be used, though, and if you want to make MonsterMash support any
special non-standard items, just turn off the dynamic features of it and enter
the specifications of your items (or non-standard monsters...).

RealCTF
Description:
One of the best mods ever made for unreal, real Capture the Flag - unfortunately not often seen because of the lack of players...:(
RealCTF is a capture-the-flag modification for Unreal. The primary focus of RealCTF is to merge the fast-paced
teamplay action of QuakeWorld CTF with the rich visuals of Unreal.
RealCTF includes three game types: RealDeathMatch, RealTeamGame, and RealCTF. RealDeathMatch and
RealTeamGame are similar to regular Unreal Deathmatch and TeamGame types, but with the gameplay
improvements of RealCTF including faster weapon switching, optional tractor beam and artifacts.

Serpentine
Description:
Serpentine is a conversion for Unreal. It centers around the concept of replacing the Unreal weapons with modern real-world firearms. It moves the emphasis of play off lightning reflexes and dodging, on to tactical thinking and guile. The goal was to create a more believable, more visceral deathmatch environment, and to bring back the kind of satisfying firepower that we miss from the days of Doom.
If you find normal Unreal to be too twitchy, or don't find the original weapons to be very satisfying, Serpentine may be just what you've been hoping for. On the other hand, if you're looking for arcade action and you enjoy being able to dodge and jump with inhuman agility, you likely won't enjoy Serpentine much; it was never intended to be for everyone.
All in all, Serpentine represents a serious effort to recapture the feeling of enjoyment that we get from recreational shooting, and to boil that experience down into a deathmatch format for our lan parties. In Serpenting there's a lot of fancy hardware that we only wish we could own, but they all share a common feel with the way our guns behave, and look, and sound.

UnrealUpgrade
Description:
This project was implemented to update the standard Unreal One weapons and to support some new capabilities.
Generally, the updated weapons should operate nearly identically to the existing weapons, just better.
Currently, a single Weapon (AutoMag) has been implemented so far. Most of the base code has been fully developed at this time.
The new functionality available to the weapons will consist of the following items:
1) Zone Entry/Exit Events will be triggered by all weapon fire.
2) Instant Hit Weapons (AutoMag, Minigun, Rifle, and ASMD Alternate) will now operate correctly through Warp Zones.
3) Water, Lava, Slime, and Tar Zones will now slow down the passage of projectiles and reduce their damage FX accordingly.
4) ZoneFluidFriction and ZoneGravity will now affect projectiles inside fluid filled zones (bWaterZone=True).
5) Effects in water and out of water are now different.
6) Sound in water and out of water are now different.
7) FX projectiles such as ShellCases also now follow the new rules.
8) Reflection off of walls is now an option.
9) Most FX now implemented Client Side only. Improved Network support.
