HDMI 5.1

So does anyone have any luck with this? I have my GPU connected to my receiver via HDMI, but I can't seem to get 5.1 sound to work. I've tried OpenAL and FMOD (with surround and dolby digital enabled) to no avail. I can get other games and media to output 5.1 with no issues.

Halp?

I don't know if this will halp, but you can try:

Have you tried selecting the sound device corresponding with your output in Unreal's OpenAL settings?

This could be an issue with your Nvidia sound setting. Here is a thread from TomsGuide on it (if not allowed mods please delete, just trying to spread information) http://www.tomsguide.com/answers/id-1782876/hdmi-receiver-sound.html

So after screwing around with OpenAL, and replacing the OpenAL32.dll with a file from here: http://kcat.strangesoft.net/openal.html#download , it turns out that 5.1 over HDMI now works.
