A simple stand-alone single-player map for Unreal.

Collectible items:

- All weapons, except the minigun.
- Shieldbelt
- Armor
- Super health
- Damage amplifier
- Weapon powerup
- Invisibility

Can you get them all? Smiley

I've been away from the community for the past few years. Now I'm looking to get back into making games, and what better place to start refreshing my chops as in Unreal? Incidentally, it has also been about 15 years since I've first played this game, and it's time to celebrate, I guess.

I did my best to test the map as much as possible in all difficulty settings (special thanks to wwof for helping out!). If anyone does, however, find any major bugs, please let me know and depending on the severity of the error, I will do my best to fix it.

Cheers!

The screenshots look nice, very classic Unreal ambience. I'll give it a try when finished. Smiley

You must construct additional pylons.

Thanks man. The classic Unreal ambience is exactly what I was going for, for a change. I hope you'll like it.

Those screenshots look really promising! I'm a sucker for the old unreal vibe so I'd LOVE to play this when it comes out Cheesy

I played your map Smiley

It was great and I enjoyed it. But I did not found all collectables Sad *shame on me*

I missed the shieldbelt and the Eightball but promise, I will find it in the second run Wink

You did a good job on your map. You also catcht the "Unreal" feeling. Are you planning to build another one? Smiley

Hey, long time no see indeed, good to know you're back Wink

Just played the map a few times, on my first playthrough I found almost all of the aforementioned secrets with the exception of the Amplifier. I spent an hour backtracking back and forth until I gave up, eventually discovering it on my second playthrough. Cheesy

I love the fusion of texture themes and architectural styles which really blend in very well with each other, from the eerie Nali dungeon at the beginning towards the Skytown-esque structures near the end, really good job on that!

If I have to give a minor point of critique, it's nothing that bothered me personally, but there isn't really a backstory. I got something about these guys trying to rescue their captain, but the other messages were meaningless in context (and lol at the ending!).

Hey guys!

I'm glad you enjoyed the map. To answer Krull0r; I'm not really interested in building another Unreal map at the moment. The point in this exercise for me was that I wanted to do a "warm-up run" with level design before I dive back in and get a job working in the industry again. I spent the last 7 years writing, recording and performing music, so I needed this level to get my head back in the game.

This also ties into Turboman's point of critique - there is no backstory. I never intended on having a backstory, other than what you have already discovered. Smiley
