One thing...add a file to the System folder called "HardCrash.int" contains something like that:

Code
Select All
[Public]
Object=(Name=Game.Game,Class=Class,MetaClass=UnrealShare.SinglePlayer,Description="HCL11;Hard Crash")

This will add your map pack to the "New game" dialog in classic menu and umenu. Is better than "go to console an type in ... by pressing enter...etc...bla bla" Wink

Will do eGo! Thanks for that!

*****Progress update*****

I am still targeting the 22nd for a final release of the pack. I am leaving open the possibility for a second pack in the future! It relates to this story, however this pack should be able to stand on it's own as a narrative. The last level (HCL77) is mostly complete. I am going over the final blocking and then will complete the sound and lighting design.

I have made several changes to HCL66 however, and I have not settled on a final blocking for that level! This is a small issue that I hope to overcome in the next day or so with any luck. After running though the pack several times and making my own notes about changes I am much more satisfied about things and I hope you will be too!

I am pushing the release of Hard Crash to the 25th of June so that I can finalize some lighting, sound and scripts. I am pleased with the story. I believe I have struggled to keep it simple, I know that you will enjoy it if I can get it right first.

Looking forward to the final release! I found Hard Crash an immensely fun and challenging mappack and i've played the demo quite a bit on several coop sessions, glad to know that it is finally going to be completed. Smiley

PS: just thought i'd mention, but that windmill farm area instantly gave me the Tresspasser vibes Cheesy

A friend came and found me, reminded me I have things to finish.

I am coming back. The last two levels are almost done. I had to leave again to take care of another game. I want this to be finished though, I hope you guys enjoy the "finished"* pack.

Yes you are CORRECT!!! I pay homage to a lot of other games I have played and enjoy. That is kinda like an Easter Egg. Smiley

I am glad you are resuming work, Xer06siX.  You might also want to post news at www.UnrealSp.org, since people over there were talking about your project!  If you didn't know, there is a thread about Hard Crash here:

It's still alive folks. I intend to release the official pack within the next few weeks. I am pleased with the quickly approaching final results. Thanks again for your interest! I like to play in Zombies deadline coop and newbies advanced coop servers,  and have gotten back into the game when I'm not working on it,  or working.  XD

I'm doing a beta run-through for the pack after I post this.  Pending the results I may release it tonight. It's 8 levels long and I'm doing a thorough runaround so this is gonna take some time XD

That was a long test.  But I have the final punch list to work through and I'm putting it out.
