I just updated my OpenAL and shouldn't have done that. Now I'm getting ACE kicked everywhere. And I didn't keep a backup of my ACE verified older OpenAL version.

Does anyone know which version worked and where I can get it?

I think ALAudio from within the OMP package is the one you need.

Well I wasnt playing for a while and not thinking about how it all works..with that anticheat stuff and all.

Tried the ones from the link but they dont work. I get the error message: General protection fault! History: UALAudioSubsystem::Update and so on..

which version did you use? http://www.oldunreal.com/patch/OMP-UT-V0.2.zip was the latest which was added in ACE as far as I know at least.

Tried all 3, the 2 newest give me the error the oldest works but gets rejected by ACE.

very strange, maybe put a copy of your UnrealTournament.log to pastebin.com - it definitely should work, any of these versions are working for sure.

Just checked the log, maybe its about

"Log: EAXSet - FAILED !
Log: EAXGet - FAILED !"

Ok because of that EAX things I set UseReverb to False. Then UT works, and ACE doenst complain.

But still I am sure UseReverb was always true and worked before.

maybe some wrong OpenAL32.dll, try removing it from System directory and/or try to use the one from the OpenAL installer: www.oldunreal.com/OpenAL/oalinst.exe

Ok I found an OpenAL installer that put a openal32 in my syswow64 folder that I then moved into the UT folder and I can use reverb again.

That was complicated. Time to create a backup of this. Cheesy

happy it solved it for you Smiley

For testing you can use f.e. a separate System folder, just copy it, name it something like SystemTest and change Paths in UnrealTournament.ini accordingly. This way you can avoid problems and don't need another install just for testing.
