A guy named n3utr0n on DeviantART has this drawing of the automag, which is more similar to the '96 era automag. I asked him in the comments to make a version which could be used as a guide to make a hi-res automag for either Sly's remake or your Legacy mod. Didn't get any reply so far, and I don't know how to send a PM in there.
BTW, mAlkAvIAn, can you please send Sly or me this model of the Dispersion Pistol? We'd like to use it.

Well, it's still a WIP, once it's done I suggest to directly hand it over to GPing, of course I must ask him for help first. lol

Downloading ut3dom5 and the titan pack as we speak to test it out. CANT WAIT!!

I am all giggily and happy. Cant believe how much i love unreal.

edit: Tested and i am in love. Beautiful.  The intro is more than what i expected, loved the drowning part. Pretty much loved it all. Ofc had some bugs, but nothing to big. Cheesy

Yup,  there's some bugs....one of the signs is half in the mesh behind it and also the player arms when you look down. (which can't be fixed)  There's probably some more but I haven't bothered to fix'em as they aren't game breaking...and I'm keen to work on the next level instead.  Wink

I've been quiet this last 2 weeks due to the release of Mass Effect 3...which I've finished now.

I expect to resume work later this week.  Grin

While I didn't mind 'parts' of ME3's endings I think they took it one step too far with 'that thing' that happens in all 3 alternative endings![trying not to post spoilers here]

I was more annoyed that I sat through the last 20 minutes of the game on the 2nd and 3rd occasion only to find that there was little difference with the ending movie.  That was a bit cheap if you ask me!

I can only hope that they have a well written plan to rebuild the decimation they've caused, in future ME games.  Wink

Time will tell!

Finally an update..well sort of..

In answer to ya question yes the clouds move.  This is a temp skydome material and is just a modified stock material with a custom texture applied. (grabbed from my Amytis map)  At some point in the near future I'll tackle a better skydome!

I've primarilly been working on getting Malk custom Skaarj model working ingame which has been a rather difficult as there's no complete tutorial on the process.  I've now got it spawnable ingame, which took ages to figure out,  but animations aren't working so that's the next issue to sort out.

For now here's 2 pics of malk's Skaarj model!

I'd rather have the other Skaarj model by malk, the one that looks more similar to UT2004's Skaarj teams.
This, or an animated version of the hi-poly Skaarj created by Qtit.

That's actually pretty sexy, even though I'm usually not a fan of U2 skaarj, I love how the eyes glow red.

Once you get the animation issues sorted out will the skaarj dodge-roll from your shots, and dive at you to close the distance? After all, it wouldn't be Unreal without the totally un-real and alien AI abilities that make it so difficult :p

I am totally gonna learn UT3 mapping once you release this.

Also another question, are you doing the mines too since that's when we see the skaarj, or are you just going to put the skaarj in nyleve instead?

Oh and off topic, but I think the Skaarj are one of the coolest bipedal alien designs ever, even with the U2 Skaarj oddities. Though I must say I really hate UT2004's skaarj.

@ iLikeTheUDK, this is the Skaarj model that Malk was working on!

I currently have no plans to put the Skaarj in the Ny Leve's map.  The screenshot is purely part of the process for getting a custom model in and working.  I'm hoping that if I can get it working then hopefully I should have no major issues getting other custom models working!  Fingers crossed as well in hope that Malk will work on a Brute model for me.

I have full plans to continue onto the next map once everything is sorted and mostly completed for Ny Leve's. So, pending no issues, expect to fight the Skaarj once again!  Grin

...but that skybox is insanely cool

And I almost wish I was using UT3 instead of CE3. Even though mine will be a nice portfolio piece when it's done, and I plan to (hopefully) release it, I can't put the skaarj or any Unreal enemies in since it's not on an Unreal game Sad

Sorry, I meant EvilEngine's Skaarj model. It's closer to Unreal 1's Skaarj than Unreal 2's Skaarj are. The Unreal 2 Skaarj look like walruses with their teeth. Evilengine's Skaarj had bettter teeth.
