[227h_3 Linux] Console with Gold menu

When you press the console key (~) during the game or in Unreal Flyby, nothing happens. Command key (Tab) works, though. Console also works after you press Escape to open the menu. This is with the UMenu console.

Speaking of consoles, what about the RTNP console? Should it work? Since for me it tends to crash.

I never noticed such behavior.
Check LinuxConsoleKey property in UnrealLinux.ini

That one's fine, or else I would never be able to get it working, yet it works if I already have a window or the menu open. And I can always reproduce it.

Can you reproduce it on 227g (or h1)?

I've reproduced it. But only with LinuxConsoleKey=186
When LinuxConsoleKey=192 everything is ok.

Indeed, setting it to 192 fixes that. So, should it be the default value?

And is there any purpose of having the UPak console there? I don't really see anything that UMenu is missing, but maybe I'm overlooking something...

UPak console wasn't updated and is just kept for compatibility reasons, but UMenu is the console to go.
I also re-added for 227h the "Unreal" gui for UMenu, so anyone should be happy now.

What is the purpose of UWindow.WindowConsole.LinuxConsoleKey? When reading the UScript code of UWindow.WindowConsole, I noticed that LinuxConsoleKey is not used consistently: in some situations, the current implementation relies on the value of ConsoleKey regardless of the OS, and I assumed that Linux users should have noticed some weirdness implied by such an inconsistency (personally I don't use Linux, and I didn't check how the given implementation works under this OS). As far as I can see now, this issue has been reported, but it's still not resolved.

Currently, the default value of LinuxConsoleKey is 186, while the default value of ConsoleKey is 192. Is this difference useful for any existing execution environment? Or maybe the value 186 was relevant to some old Linux-targeted builds and all modern builds should use 192 instead? If both Linux-targeted and Windows-targeted builds use equivalent codes for the same buttons, do we really need a separate variable LinuxConsoleKey for Linux?
