Oh man, an other reason why I hate this retarded steam. Nothing beats a regular UT installation.

Can you play DM-Gothic ingame? Thats a map who uses ShaneChurch primary. Actually I see two problems there: A blank character in the installation path (unreal tournament and program files) and a rather long installation path at all.

From the failed loading package it mostly look like a to long path, if you see the ending UTX is missing.

If you have Windows Vista/7, you can use symlinks to shorten the path ans make sure there are no spaces in it. If you don't, you need some extra software to do this for you. Either way, Steam is a horrible fail which completely breaks UnrealEd by default.

Or simply create a folder called UnrealTournament as in: c:\UnrealTournament

And copy the entire content of the Unreal Tournament into that folder. If correct you have a secondary copy now and this should work as well since UT is already installed.

Of course use that copy for Editing, and/or playing if you wish.

And next time if you ever install UT again, choose custom install and have it installed directly in a folder like c:\UnrealTournament

That way its also alot more accesible when you install additional maps, textures etc, because its on top of your drives root.

First we had that one incident with Unreal Anthology and the mismatches, and now this. Steam is good for a few useful features (such as having access to a web browser while fullscreened), but other than that it's completely f*cking stupid.

Unreal Engine 2 uses a different method of package loading, the limit there is a lot higher, if there is one at all. The spaces will still prevent you from importing things and Unreal II UnrealEd will destroy you for them.
