This is a huge upgrade from the current version and hopefully downtime will not take to long. In the meantime I suggest holding off on new posts and topics. This will simplify the proccess.

It seems that every new line character in the sigs was replaced by "&&", but otherwise it's good.

Also, while we're at it, could the "new posts in the forum" icon at least not be reverted to the blinking one that was before the update? Since it always bothered me with having to wait until it lights up just to know if there are new posts or not. This time I'm amazed at how quickly I can see new posts Cheesy

I spent almost 10 hours working on the upgrade and Smirftsch spent alot of time as well. The forum is not finished cosmetically yet, but we will continue to work on it.

I have to agree. The older version was quick and easy on the eyes; not tons of crap being thrown into your face all at once. I also believe though its only been this way for a few hours and still needs to be fine-tuned by the admins, and that we probably need to adjust to it a bit; give it a little while and see if it settles in a bit.
