Time for another bug fix list:
  • Reduced the chance for crash failure at 'TouchTo', which should fix some errors with projectile spamming mods.
  • Fixed ammo pickups, when you pick up 'child' ammo type it didn't show any pickup message unless the pickup will respawn (good example; clips).
  • Fixed inventory pickup messages to always show the pickup's own pickupmessage, rather than the carried item pickupmessage (usually noticed when mappers have modified the pickup message for some items).
  • Made 'UnrealShare.Suits' item to destroy themselves and throw a warning on log if added to the map (as they should never be used anyway).
  • Fixed UnrealScript compiler to show properly 'error' count.
  • Fixed the third person weapon mesh from sometimes having wrong display properties.
  • Fixed HUD to show properly multi-lined messages (so that next message don't overleap the second line).
  • Fixed HUD to render messages after the armor icons (so that event/death messages don't overleap armor icons).
  • Changed HUD name identifier to show the name of the player in front of CAMERA location rather than PLAYER location (fixes spectator name identifier).

@^: Nice, I hope this helps for some of the aura-related crashes. (Which indeed spawns a lot of projectiles!)

Minigun sentry (when used) not fixed yet.It is a stationary pawn or jumping??in my version u227 is not fixed and it's jump when it's splay out.And later it's shooting to friendly team.

Suntry gun is already fixed in the upcoming patch.

fixed Linux version sometimes crashes at startup. Also speeds up start.
Improved performance and stability with better optimizations and added fixes for lighting and crashes which were caused by some problematic routines because of that.

made "Dirty Shadows" surface flag functional. Since never implemented it was of no use so far, although many mysteries came up to this, it never had any effect. (No, not in Unreal and no, not in UT)
Now it creates some random dark shadow spots if used. Maybe for virtually "uneven" surfaces.  The factor can be set in LevelInfo with DirtyShadowLevel.

I discovered that another CRITICAL bug has been fixed.

[227f] You no longer get completely stuck when there is a book on your head :p

Yea, that's a good thing, I get stuck like that very often in UT when building my InfernoTown buildings. Though there it's a good penalty since you can do "book jumping" with your impact hammer alt fire.

The savegames will work from any older version since 224 I believe, only in exception if some new actor is used in them, then not. Like if you summoned translocator in 227f, because in 227g it has different classname.

yes, savegames of default games (with the exceptions as Leo described) should work and release date...well...asap is the best I can say at the moment.
As usual there is always something new just in the moment when you think you have everything.
However, the current list of bugs is kinda small.

UED: fixed bsp building so that way less bsp holes arise. So far no known side effects (except slightly more polygons).

fixed execDrawPortal Sprite offset
fixed Decals can crash Client if Mirror is present.
fixed disappearing Meshes in some rare view angles. Fixes also Playermodel vanishing in Mirror if to close.

Not sure if you addressed this or not, but, my team green male2 ash don't work properly in the 227f unreal gold console for me. It keeps changing it back. Is this fixed in the 227g release?
